This is a common issue for those Windows 10 users who have the Wacom digitizer and connect it with their computers. You can notice ‘Wacom no device connected when you connect it with Windows 10 system. But it often encounters a pretty annoying problem. Of course, I'm terrible at this game so it's possible my opinions are all wrong. Wacom is one of the leading names in the world of digitizer industries. (The G640 also has a problem with the cursor skipping pixels when you try to use a smaller tablet area, but the relevance of that depends on your preferred area.) (I think this is the case because of these two posts below, even though I can't find any posts regarding hardware latency being specifically tested on the 640:) If it is being smoothed, the G640 would also be adding latency, equal to however many hardware polls are being averaged for the smoothing, to its position updates before the USB packets ever get sent over the wire. The G640 is sending out packets at ~250hz, but the position data is either being smoothed or the hardware is less capable of tracking a quickly moving pen than the wacoms, which makes the cursor position more stable but less physically accurate. If I'm understanding this correctly, it looks like the Xp-Pens are performing smoothing at the hardware level before sending any position information out over USB. Its a slippery slope.Momi wrote:you do mean the xp-pen g640 right?Well, judge for yourself which is closer to the reference pattern, especially looking at the smallest circles and corners:
